100 jobs of the Future

This website is the product of the 100 Jobs of the Future research project which examined the future of work in an increasingly technologically-driven society. This research project was a collaboration between Deakin University, Griffith University and Ford Australia and drew on a panel of 11 experts familiar with cutting-edge developments in relation to work of the future.

The research team investigated major trends, changes in work that will occur in key industries, jobs that will emerge as a result of these changes and the skills and interests needed for these jobs. The research team identified 100 jobs of the future and a Future Job Quiz that individuals can complete to identify their career interests and explore jobs of the possible future jobs that relate to their interests.

School Guide on Apprenticeships and Traineeships

The Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships Information Service (AATIS) has produced a Schools Guide to support students interested in getting an apprenticeship or traineeship. This Guide informs school students all they need to know about preparing for and getting an apprenticeship. You can watch a webinar to inform you about the School Guide and other AATIS resources

The Girls in STEM Toolkit

The Girls in STEM Toolkit aims to close the gender gap in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths). Teachers and Career Practitioners can locate lesson plans for Years 5 and 6, Years 7 and 8 and Years 9 and 10 aligned with the Australian Curriculum and resources to integrate STEM careers into the curriculum.
